The Global Lighting and Energy Access Partnership (Global LEAP), the Clean Energy Ministerial’s energy access initiative, is supporting the Global Lighting Challenge through its continued efforts to catalyze sustainable commercial markets for affordable, high-quality, and highly-efficient clean energy access products and solutions globally. Through its longstanding support for the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group's Lighting Global Program, Global LEAP has helped bring modern, quality-assured solar LED lighting to millions of people globally. Building on this work, Global LEAP, together with its partners and the United Nation’s Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) initiative, have launched the Efficiency for Access Coalition, a new global effort to support the development and deployment of super-efficient appliances, equipment, and other end-use technologies that can help deliver higher levels of energy services beyond basic lighting to un- and under-electrified communities globally.
